Don’t mess up your talent

This post has been inspired to me by a dear friend of mine. Among all the things that move me, seeing someone wasting or messing up his or her talent incredibly annoys me.

I don’t know why but there is something I can’t stand about watching, especially someone I care about, doubting his/her skills and ability to bring value to others. Call me naive but I am convinced that each and everyone of us has a mission, a purpose to accomplish on this Earth. Our role is to find it even if it might be complicated and means that we should put ourselves out there.

Dear friend, I want you to take the risks that you wish to avoid to find out what is on the over side of your comfort zone. I can see how great of a person you are and all your unexploited talent. It is okay if you don’t feel it yet. It is not even the point. Lean on the ones that bring the best out of you and believe them when they say you can do it.

And if some have once doubted you, don’t allow it to affect you. You need to show the world how you should be treated. In order to do so, you must first treat yourself right. One say our worst enemy is often ourselves and I believe it is very true. Once you fight your fears and go along with life and not against it, the sky becomes suddenly clearer.

So here is what I want you to remember:

Never undervalue yourself. You are worth of love, success, happiness and all the things that makes a human being alive. Be as great as you can be and value yourself.

Be true to yourself. No matter what people may say. You don’t need to fit in and that is why you are so interesting. There is no flavor in being one among the others. Your singularity is your biggest asset.

Allow yourself to be happy. Don’t find excuses as to why you should not take a bite at life’s simple pleasures. You deserve to be happy and how far you have come with your goals should not be a measure nor the single criterion to your happiness.

I believe in you and you should do the same. In an objective way not because you are my friend. Actually it is your complex personality that I liked in the first place. I tell you when I think you are messing up and I also tell you when you are doing great.

I wish you the best. You are the only one who can decide to open your eyes and act differently. I hope you will do it my friend, so that we can keep on enjoying this exciting journey together. 🙂
