Be your own best friend!

A couple of days ago, I posted this thought of the day about friends. One lesson to extract from it is that no matter what, you should always be able to count on yourself. By be your own best friend, I really mean act towards yourself the same way you would with your best friend.

Cheer you up: when you feel down, think about positive words and actions to lift your spirit up.

Be kind to yourself: of course you make mistake, like everyone else. So take it easy and don’t be to harsh on yourself.

Also know when to stop acting or thinking crazy: just like you would say to your bestfriend, when he or she is going too far, don’t hesitate to take a step back. Sometimes it is the best way to ensure you are doing the right thing.

Enjoy your own company: you are a great and funny person so why don’t you enjoy your own company for a change?

Give yourself credit: and don’t wait for something big to happen to do so. You working towards reaching your goals is already an achievement.

Take care of yourself: you need to nurture your body and soul. Take time to treat yourself too because you are worth it.
